Job Summary
IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and securing the network of an organization. The individual performs site surveys and audits to ensure that the organization’s network site has the proper specifications. The incumbent must have professional level understanding of common network types, especially LAN/WAN/P2P Links and work experience in network planning and operation.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Develop quarterly, Semi-annual and Annual Plan in compliance with the organizational plan.
· Planning and forecasting of network capacity and work with different network teams to implement bandwidth and service improvements.
· Develop and maintain project roadmaps, architecture and design
· Must be able to compare various solutions and determine the one which best fits the need.
· Network Infrastructure Engineer provide leadership, training and supervision within IT department; and ensures compliance with Telecom policies and procedures.
· Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation of network changes, effectiveness analyses of network design.
· Troubleshoot network-related service issues including outages, anomalous behavior, and slow response class of problems.
· Produce and review technical documentation and Provide recommendations to optimize network operation and performance.
· Lead end to end execution of network and operations related projects supporting the platform of operations
· Experience configuring and monitoring LAN/WAN equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
· Work with internal as well as customer project management and technical teams during design, development, and implementation phases of various network-related initiatives.
· Provides layer 1 and layer 2 support for the platform whenever required.
· Providing professional support services and/or the integration of applicable networking products.
· Network Infrastructure Engineer is responsible to prepare and review configuration of Network related devices and approve configuration documents.
· Network Infrastructure Engineers hall ensure highest level of IT Support is provided by related section to all department highest level.
· Network Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for all the IT Networking, Connections among Branches and Connections between main office and its Branches.
· Network Infrastructure Engineer is responsible to supervise and approve technical changes, configuration decision of Network and IS Administrative authorities.
· Review the current network architectural landscape and make appropriate recommendations.
· Determine technical standards and specifications and lead the design, build and could to support large telecom network.
· Perform any other task assigned by the line manager.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies or related field, (Masters Preferred).
Experience: Minimum of one-year of experience working in same positions as IT application engineer, software development for bachelor degree and two years of experience for 14th grade graduate.
Skills Required:
· Hands-on experience with load balancers.
· Professional level understanding and hands-on experience with: TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, PIM, GRE, IPSec, DMVPN, NAT.
· Hands-on experience with the following Cisco routing and switching platforms: Catalyst 4500/6500/6800, Nexus 9k 7k, 5k, and 2k.
· Strong experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches.
· Strong Network Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities are required
· Strong written and verbal skills and interpersonal skills
· Strong customer service experience required
· Availability to work overtime in times of emergency and specialized project deliveries.
· Understand and manage the pressure of a 24×7 customer support environment.
