Job Description:
Major duties and responsibilities

- Providing services, essential health care and counseling for women during pregnancy, during childbirth and after childbirth
- Regulating and facilitating single births and taking care of newborns
- Care of complications during pregnancy and childbirth, according to the basic standards of urgent care of childbirth
- Providing primary health care for women of reproductive age according to the Basic Health Services (BPHS)
- Monitoring the supply of health care in the community by the female health workers of the community
- Counseling and training women, families and the community in the relevant areas of health, including preparation for motherhood and child birth
- Providing all non-surgical family planning methods and counseling for surgical methods
- Coordinating and obtaining specific help that is urgent and necessary (in the form of counseling and referral)
- Share your knowledge, skills and experience with other midwives, midwifery and nursing students, nurses and other health workers about pregnancy and childbirth as an educator.
- Carrying out a few selected administrative tasks, such as making tables, records and reports of patients’ information in the clinic or health center (according to the need) or cooperating in specific training programs or outside the field.
- Participation in the research of professional bodies and relevant committees for continuing educational opportunities
- Follow the policies, procedures and objectives of the established health center to continuously improve the quality of health services, environmental safety standards and disinfection by launching new initiatives.
- Participating in the provision of 24-hour health services, seven-day maternity services, which will require the implementation of night duty or night service.
- Cooperation in relevant departments with students
