About ORCD:
Organization for Research & Community Development (ORCD) is a Non-governmental, Non-political, Non-profitable and independent organization founded in 2010 by a group of community development and research specialist. The aim of the organization is to contribute to the development of Afghanistan as an integral part of the international community. It envisages accomplishing its aims by building local capacities, generating evidence in various disciplines, promoting evidence-based on best practices and implementing development projects aimed at community development at the grass root level. ORCD is a multi-donor funded NGO, implementing health, agriculture and community development projects in several provinces of the country.
ORCD would like to implement Mobile Health & Nutrition Services (MHNT) Faryab, Laghman, Logar, Ghazni, Paktia, Paktika, Samangan, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Zabul, Jawzjan, Kunar, Bamyan, Kunduz & Wardak provinces funded by (UNFPA) for which it would like to seek qualified people.
Job Description:
- Act according to the policy of ORCD.
- ANC, PNC, FP and delivery services, Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) and maternal nutrition Counseling of all mothers with a special focus on Pregnant and lactating mothers/women.
- Giving Nutrition education to pregnant and lactating mothers of children receiving nutrition services
- Family planning counselling.
- Focus group discussion between group of mothers of well-nourished children and malnourished children.
- Meeting with community women for community awareness and sensitization.
- Giving specific counseling to the mothers for the RH activities.
- Counseling to pregnant and lactating women for getting additional food.
- Encouraging mothers to receive Iron Folic Acid (IFA) during lactation and pregnancy and Vaccination program.
- Act according to the policy of ORCD.
- Keep confidential with issue related to ORCD.
- Submit monthly report to Mobile Health team head.
Any task given by the Project Manager.
Job Requirements:
- Be Afghan
- Graduated from recognized Midwifery or Nursing Institute.
- Having experience of Midwife/ Female Nurse in BPHS/ EPHS for 2-3 years.
- Able to speak in Pashto, Dari.
- Able to work in the fast pace environment.
- Able to go to the field.
