Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Looks for the security of the office and staff in the office.
  • Keeps all the windows and doors locked when the staff members leave the office.
  • Keeps the office responsible informed of any incident in the neighborhood.
  • Avoid unauthorized people parking their vehicles in front of the compound.
  • Avoid unauthorized access to the office without informing office or Guest House responsible.
  • Avoid allowing any suspicious packages to the compound unless authorized by Supervisor/Security Manager/Officer.
  • Checks everybody entering to the office.
  • Registers all the visitors coming to the office or Guest House and reports to responsible person.
  • Maintain the generators, (starts it on time and keeps fuel balance).
  • Checks the heaters in the morning and continuously keeps checking it.
  • Checks all security lights and reports if there is any loss or Damage during his working time.
  • Controls the water accessibility in the office (water pump, pipes).
  • Switches on and off all lights of the building on time.
  • Keep the compound and guard room clean regularly and keep all the materials arranged.
  • Assist the cleaner in some parts of their work (heater cleaning, washing heavy/big items.
  • Keep clean office garden.
  • Work according to the time and schedule given by his supervisor.
  • Respect and behave the visitors gently.
  • Performs any other duty assigned by his/her supervisor.
  • Ensure the inclusion of cash-based interventions and marked based programs in country and area-based strategies and their implementation across and within NRC’s core competencies
  • Provide an enabling environment for the implementation of cash-based interventions, including multi-purpose cash assistance, emergency cash responses

Required Tasks and Responsibilities:

Experience from working as service support staff in a humanitarian/recovery context

Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
Some knowledge of English

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities:

  • Provides advice and assistance to Hiring Manager on job requirements, recruitment process, selection of interview panel, preparation of Interview Plan and preparation of job descriptions.
  • Initiate recruitment processes for Kandahar Area – and ensure of approved documentation are processed, announced, and organize long and short-listing process.
  •  Review and feedback on shortlisting, chair the interviews and written test process
  • Organize interview process and testing process, including collection of required documentation (ID Card, References, education verification etc.)
  • Implement hiring process: Help, conduct, document and verify references in consultation with hiring manager ensure job contract and all HR/administrative documentation for personnel file is complete.
  • Ensure that all HR documentation is completed and filed, and that personnel records are complete and kept confidential.
  • Ensure transparency in the recruitment process and make sure all the vacant positions in Kandahar region are filled with high quality.
  • Responsible for the confidential filling and archiving of all personnel files. Periodically checks files to ensure all missing documents are provided, securely keep in both hard and soft copy in line with NRC filling key. Takes keen interest in securing proof of life forms from all staff for secure storage as per NRC guidelines
  • Maintain truckers and records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data
  • Undertakes other task as deemed necessary in Line with goal providing support to management in country office.

Administration:

  • Responsible for supervising cooks, cleaner
  • Ensure the hygiene and cleanness of office as well as guesthouse.
  • kitchen management to ensure hygienic and healthy food is being provided to all staffs.
  • Providing accommodation to staff/visitors
  • Carries out Admin-related operational such as letter in an out registration
  • Proper management of NRC guest houses in the field and accommodation arrangements for staff
  • Finalizing lunch menu and monthly price for lunch in consultation with all staff and ensure that all staff have paid their monthly payments
  • Providing lunch and refreshments for all workshops, trainings and other events.
  • Providing utilities, stationaries and consumables to departments.
  • Regular assessments of all facilities to check for required repairs or maintenance.
  • Prepares recurring reports as scheduled and special reports to provincial Directorate of line Ministries as required
  • Ensure timely provision of office space, desk and accommodation for incoming staff
  • Take charge of assets such as office furniture, fitting, building and equipment
  • Ensure the inclusion of cash-based interventions and marked based programmes in country and area-based strategies and their implementation across and within NRC’s core competencies
