About NGO-Global Access/Hard-to-Reach Advisor

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • assist with the execution of the program in multiple DRC countries through short-term field deployments and remote technical assistance
  • Develop field-relevant methods for interacting with communities that are challenging to reach in collaboration with other global advisers and experts. to incorporate tool testing in the nation and contribute to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Promote the global creation of DRC tools, regulations, and standards, particularly in the area of access.
  • Ensure that proposals and programs are created that are of a high caliber, integrated, and needs-based and that they adhere to the priorities set forth in the DRC’s global and national strategic planning.
  • Make sure that strategic planning and all departments take access into account.
  • Join a team to conduct cutting-edge research that challenges the status quo of humanitarian action and to assist advocacy campaigns to more effectively engage communities of concern.
  • Establish worldwide access programs in close coordination with HQ focal points.

NGO-Global Access/Hard-to-Reach Advisor Requirments

Education:

  • We want you to have a track record of being eager and motivated to work in challenging locations with restricted access if you want to succeed in this position.
  • The DRC’s basic competencies of communicating, taking the initiative, collaborating, striving for excellence, and exhibiting integrity should be mastered by every employee.

Experience:

  • Experience in emergency planning, implementation, and monitoring for at least 5 years, in accordance with corporate policies, national agreements, and international standards
  • Experience working in complicated emergency environments, including offering technical guidance to field teams and developing programs with an emphasis on those that had access challenges and limits at their core

Languages:

  • Working proficiency in Arabic and/or Spanish
