About NGO Jobs in Bangladesh-Senior Scientific Officer
The Senior Scientific Officer will be in charge of planning, organizing, monitoring, coordinating, and carrying out laboratory research studies and projects under the direction of the Scientist/Assistant Scientist with Enteric and Respiratory Infections under the Infectious Diseases Division. She or he will participate in
- independently carry out standard laboratory tests and assays in accordance with authorized SOP, and maintain records.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment for optimum performance.
- Create purchase orders for both in-stock and out-of-stock lab supplies and consumables, and maintain accurate records;
- adopt and validate new tests or techniques;
- Report findings while preserving tight confidentiality;
- To efficiently provide clinical laboratory diagnostic services, save surplus samples for future needs;
- review and revision of the quality control handbook;
- instruct freshly hired employees and lab technicians on biosafety practices;
- In order to ensure proper maintenance and usage of the equipment with safety and security, communicate with bio-medical engineering regarding maintenance tasks on medical equipment.
