About NGO-Post-Secondary Education Specialist
The Post-Secondary Education Specialist is in charge of providing college preparedness services and programs for out-of-school children and adults under the direction of the Education and Learning Manager. In order to effectively investigate, apply for, enroll in, and maintain involvement in college and other post-secondary education programs, this job will assist clients in navigating systems. The Post-Secondary Education Specialist will make sure that best practices are used, program objectives are reached, policies and procedures are adhered to, and reports are finished.
Required Qualifications of NGO-Post-Secondary Education Specialist
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or comparable work experience
Experience:
- At least 2 years of related work experience
- Experience in a non-profit setting and prior experience working with newcomer populations is a plus
- Experience working in a diverse, and non-traditional setting with a diverse client base
Languages:
It’s necessary to be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently. It would be ideal if you could speak one of the demographics you serve fluently (Arabic, Persian, Pashto, Kiswahili, Haitian Creole, Spanish)
