About NGO-Refugee Working Group Representative
The NRG Representative coordinates NRG activity and represents NRG in all inter-agency and governmental planning frameworks pertaining to refugee development and humanitarian planning, as well as the implementation of the Marshall Plan and the Refugee Act. He or she reports to the NRG Steering Committee, which directs the NRG’s operations, works closely with him or her on important tasks, and holds him or her responsible. The Department of Refugee Services is one of the more than 30 NGOs that currently make up the NRG (DRS). Managing the technical, strategic, and advocacy efforts of the NGOs Refugee Working Group in close cooperation with the steering committee is the overall responsibility of the position. expressing the NRG’s viewpoints and proposals while acting as its external representative.
NGO-Refugee Working Group Representative Requirments
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree at the very least in the social sciences, the law, international development, or another pertinent discipline.
- a degree in a related subject, including social sciences, law, international relations, migration, or human rights;
Experience:
- a minimum of 10 years of experience working in the international humanitarian aid sector, with at least five of those years spent in a position comparable to their current one or at the level of Deputy Chief of Party, Country Director, Team Lead, or Group Representative.
Languages:
- Full professional proficiency in English
