INTRODUCTION
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC), an international non-governmental organization (NGO), has been providing relief and development services in the Horn of Africa since 1997. DRC Ethiopia began operations in 2009 and has been responding to the needs of refugees, Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and vulnerable host communities ever since. DRC Ethiopia currently has programs implemented through five area offices (AO) in Gambella, Tigray, Somali (Jijiga & Dollo Ado) and Afar regions, as well as its country office (CO) in Addis Ababa.

Collect and analyse existing desktop and secondary data prior to conducting NTS tasks
With the NTS team gather geographic, socio-economic and impact information on explosive ordnance-affected communities
Support on implementing pre and post intervention surveys to measure the impact of DRC’s mine action activities on targeted communities
Support the Team Lead to conduct liaison with local representatives at different levels, in assigned areas of responsibility
Establish and maintain a wide information network including authorities, communities, NGOs, and other possible sources of information
Liaise with EORE facilitators to share relevant information and update procedures and approaches as needed.
Reporting
Ensure daily/weekly/monthly NTS reporting is completed using standard reporting templates and submit to the Information Management Officer and Team Lead for verification and conduct corrections as necessary
