Organization Background:

Health, Disability and Development Organization (HDDO) is a national nonprofit and nonpolitical organization which has been registered with Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan in 07 January 2020 with the aims to advocate, promote and facilitate the Economic empowerment, socioeconomic reintegration, Physical rehabilitation, provision of health, education and livelihood support to the most marginalized, hard to reach and underserved population of the Country including person with disabilities, victims of war, mine  and ERW in Afghanistan. HDDO is committed to play active role in the humanitarian response to the neediest population in the Country and at the same time to contribute in the development and reconstruction of the Country as well. The vision of HDDO is to Promote and sustain educated, prosperous, peaceful, gender and disability sensitive society, where people, especially women, disabled and youth have access to better healthcare, disability and physical rehabilitation, play a key role in inclusive and sustainable development and to make sure that every and each of them is an active member in the societies. The HDDO main principle is the community based inclusive approaches to involve local communities and the target group in the design, implementation and monitoring of the project and that is why HDDO is fully relying on local resources and local capacity in the targeted communities.

GENERAL Responsibilities:

To contribute to the reduction of morbidity and mortality associated with malnutrition, diseases and hazards resulting from inadequate (or non-existent) health and nutrition services, environmental health conditions and protective environment in conflict-affected communities Kunar and Nangarhar Province – Afghanistan

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide urgent medical care to patients under critical conditions during transport.
• Perform life-saving interventions and administer necessary medications.
• Quickly assess patient condition upon arrival and throughout transport, adjusting care as necessary.
• Liaise with Emergency Room staff in providing comprehensive patient reports and handovers.
• Maintain ambulance equipment and supplies to be always ready for emergencies.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

1. Ensure the prompt, legible and accurate completion of all patient and incident records, providing a full and accurate record of decision making in accordance with the Caldecott principles, current legislation and regulatory framework.
2. Ensure the sharing of information is always done in compliance with information governance procedures.

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

Candidates should have specialty in Emergency Care. Excellent command of emergency medical protocols, strong decision-making skills, capability to function in high-stress situations, and superior patient care abilities is a must. Proficiency in the use of medical equipment and instruments necessary for administering patient care is also required.

Job Requirements.

• Nurse degree from a recognized institution, with a valid license to practice medicine.
• At least 2 years, experience in the field of medical healthcare hospital and clinic.
• Able to speak/write English, Dari and Pashto.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Good interpersonal, Communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to work as a team member
• Strong knowledge and expertise in maternal and child health
