In Burkina Faso, the IRC launched its first phase of emergency response programming in the town of Djibo in April 2019, primarily focusing on WASH activities. Subsequently, the IRC expanded its interventions in the protection, health, nutrition, economic recovery & development, governance, and recently in Signpost. The organization has a main office in Ouagadougou, bases in Ouahigouya (Yaadga Region), Dori (Liptako Region), Fada (Gourma Region), and sub-bases in Djibo (Djelgodji) and Séguénéga (Yaadga).
To strengthen its team, IRC-BF is recruiting an ERD officer to implement activities in the Djelgodji region with Djibo as its base.
JOB OBJECTIVES/PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
The officer oversees the implementation of ERD activities of ongoing funding in the intervention areas.
He/She is therefore responsible for supervising the staff under his/her supervision, developing project documents for implementation, and presenting the activities of the acquired funding to administrative authorities and local communities. He/she is responsible for ensuring the quality of activities for the benefit of clients.
He/She represents the project at the community level and serves as a liaison between IRC, community authorities and the beneficiary population. As an agent of change, he/she must contribute to the design of tools for implementing activities and monitoring. He/she must work to strengthen the partnership with international and local organizations and technical services.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
The main functions and responsibilities of this position, but not limited to, are to:
Tool design:
- Participation in the design of program tools and all ERD activities;
Planning and Organization:
- Ensure quarterly, monthly and weekly planning of all ERD activities;
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Participate in the collection of Baseline, endline, PDM, DM and targeting data, needs assessments, market analyses, and studies on economic opportunities;
Identification et Formation :
- Identification of training themes meeting the real needs of clients and ensuring participation in coordination with management;
- Be the technical focal point for all training provided for staff and clients;
Documentation et Rapportage :
- Contribute to the drafting of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on activities implemented and donor reports;
- Participate in the drafting of the ERD program strategic plan;
- Collect monitoring data on the activities implemented and submit them before each 30th month to the manager;
- Collect images, speaking photos of the activities implemented and archive them in a box folder;
- Collect and write success stories and testimonials, submit them to management for amendment and archive them on box;
Management and Monitoring:
- Ensure the effective implementation of all ERD activities, ensuring their quality;
- Compile databases of all monitoring, analyze them and share them at the end of each month;
Collaboration et Coordination :
- Collaborate closely with technical services and decentralized state authorities and implementing partners;
- Strengthen the capacities of local partners on all ERD approaches and themes;
- Contribute Facilitate the collection and reporting of feedback and complaints;
Logistics Support:
- Support logistics in needs assessments, market price monitoring and in the acquisition, management of items, stocks and other resources;
- Organize and supervise distribution activities for the benefit of beneficiaries, ensuring compliance with quality and transparency standards;
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess risks related to project implementation and propose mitigation measures;
Team Supervision and Development:
- Provide ongoing support to team members, including those of partners, to ensure the professional development of staff and the quality of interventions;

Minimum Qualifications:
Education :
- Bachelor’s degree (BAC+2/3) in economics, sociology, agronomy or any other relevant field.
Experiences:
- Minimum three (03) years of experience in a similar position within humanitarian or development organizations;
- Demonstrated experience in carrying out resilience and food security activities;
- Proven experience in participatory training facilitation;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Good skills in communication for behavior change as well as methods that may require the implementation of new technologies.
- A valid motorcycle license;
- Fluency in spoken and written French, with a preference for multiple local languages
- Excellent writing skills in reports;
- Very good command of IT tools, particularly the Office Pack (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Excellent organizational and task prioritization skills to meet numerous simultaneous deadlines;
- Proactivity, dynamism, and autonomy in carrying out tasks;
