Brief Description of Position:
Payroll Officer reporting to Manager, Payroll will mainly perform the following responsibilities:
- Coordinate with icddr,b cooperative Society;
- Collect the employee’s loan recovery data and other subscriptions from the cooperative society for the deductions from the monthly payroll;
- Ensure timely cooperative data before monthly payroll processing;
- Communicate effectively with employees regarding loan deductions and other queries and changes
- Upload cooperative data in the employee payroll module in every month before payroll processing;
- Checking the Final Settlement Form and capture the cooperative data for deduction;
- Handle any discrepancies or issues related to cooperative society payments promptly;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of cooperative society deductions and subscriptions;
- Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll data;
- Conduct regular reconciliations between payroll records and cooperative society statements;
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies through effective communication with cooperative society and other stakeholders;
- Provide clear and comprehensive reports on reconciliation outcomes;
- Stay informed about changes in cooperative society policies and regulations;
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to payroll deductions;
- Prepare and submit required reports to cooperative society authorities;
- Supporting the management in identifying the risks and recommending mitigation controls.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Masters/M.Com/MBA in Finance and Accounting;
- Minimum 4 years of experience in relevant field with ERP environment .
Location: Mohakhali campus, Dhaka.
Contract Type and Duration:
- Fixed Term; duration will be 2 Years with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.
Salary & benefits:
- Annual 7,18,800/- inclusive of house rent, conveyance allowances and other admissible benefits
- 14.8% provident fund contribution, income tax paid by icddr,b, children allowance @Tk.1,917/- per child per month, festival bonus, contributory healthcare support including dependent spouse and children, group life insurance, and subsidised canteen. Transport and day-care facilities are subject to space availability.
