Job Description:
This job is for a nurse to work in a pediatric clinic inside the Herat Women’s Prison. Preference will be given to applicants with previous NGO and prison work experience.
Job Requirements:
- Responsible for assisting the physicians and project director in a professional manner at the clinic inside the women’s prison.
- Responsible for completing and updating a registration file for each child.
- Responsible for assisting the doctors making monthly “well-baby” checks of each child. (Taking vital signs, weight, height, and other measurements)
- Responsible for preparing and teaching health/hygiene classes to the prisoners, including lactation training.
- Responsible for assisting project director in establishing and maintaining relationships with outside vendors, such as laboratories and pharmacies.
- Preparing work reports in both Dari and English.
- Participating in sectoral meetings related to project activities.
