Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

    • The plumber will review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related materials. Support Office Administration Unit with new plumbing installations including identifying materials, assembly and fitting pipes and fixtures
  • The plumber will repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and controls and underground storm sanitary and water piping systems
  • The plumber will repair and maintain plumbing fixtures, appliances and trim
  • The plumber will test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks (Hydrostatic and pressure tests)
  • The plumber will ensure all required repairs are carried out efficiently and effectively
  • Install pipes and plumbing fixtures
  • Visulaly inspect equipment and operate test equipment such as pressure and vacuum gauges to determine the cause and location of trouble
  • Clear obstructions from sink drains and toilets
  • Estimate costs of installations and repairs
  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: A baccalaureate degree is required and a Plumbing degree from a technical college will be preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional working experience in a similar position in a national or international NGO.
  • Languages: Proficiency in both national languages and English language is advantage
  • Self-Motivated, Quick learner with a positive attitude.
  • Cooperative and team-working skills
  • Deep plumbing system and repair knowledge,
  • Being flexible regarding working hours.
  • Disciplined, honest, professional, and hard worker.
