The Data Analysis and Reporting Intern will be responsible for analyzing the results of the retention area’s year-end campaign, measuring compliance, reach, and variances with other versions. During the three months, they must ensure reliable information is used for decision-making and the final evaluation of the campaign.
How can you make a difference?
Summary of key roles/responsibilities:
- Main functions: Collection and systematization of data:
- Gather quantitative and qualitative information related to campaign performance (retention rates, effective contact, message type, among others).
- Coordinate with the retention team and external agencies to obtain the necessary supplies.
- Organize databases and build relevant indicators to monitor results.
- Analysis of compliance with objectives:
- Evaluate the level of compliance with established goals (e.g. percentage of renewed partners, retained income, response by channel).
- Identify gaps between what was planned and what was executed, providing a critical and proactive perspective.
- Comparison with previous campaigns:
- Conduct comparative analyses with previous versions of the year-end campaign. Detect trends, behavioral changes, and accumulated lessons learned. Explore external factors (economic, political, social context) that may influence the results.
- Preparation of reports and visualizations:
- Generate periodic progress reports using tools such as Excel, Power BI, SPSS, or others. Prepare a final report with conclusions, graphs, and recommendations, which will serve as input for planning for the following year. Present findings in a clear and understandable manner for different audiences (internal team, strategic partners, agencies).
- Information quality assurance:
- Validate the consistency and veracity of the analyzed data. Apply best practices in the management and protection of sensitive information. Promote decision-making based on solid and up-to-date evidence.
- Recommendations and proposals for improvement:
- Provide a sociological perspective on the findings: What do the data tell us about our partners’ motivations, barriers, and profiles? Propose methodological improvements and segmentation or messaging strategies for future campaigns.
Internship Requirements:
To be considered for an internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Mastery of the working language of the UNICEF office in Chile: Spanish. Proficiency in another language is a plus.
- Do not have immediate relatives (e.g., father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office; and do not have other relatives in the line of authority to which the intern will report. Additional consideration will be given to any past experience.
- Be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in sociology or business engineering.
- Have excellent academic performance demonstrated by recent records from the university or institution.

Observations:
- Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and will advance to the next stage of the selection process.
