This announcement corresponds to a vacancy currently available in the city of Bogotá. However, we are seeking to establish a roster of qualified candidates who may be considered for future opportunities in other cities where operational needs arise.

 

Candidates who meet the requirements, following an evaluation of their profile and experience, may be included in the roster of eligible candidates, which will remain valid for up to 24 months. Inclusion on the roster does not guarantee immediate hiring, but it will allow candidates to be contacted if new relevant vacancies arise.

 

JOB TITLE : Program Assistant for Data Management and Analytics​​​

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

 

The World Food Programme (WFP) in Colombia is a strategic partner of the State in the implementation of public policies aimed at improving food and nutritional security for the most vulnerable populations. Through its 2024–2028 Country Strategic Plan, WFP contributes to achieving Zero Hunger and other Sustainable Development Goals through interventions that strengthen community resilience, promote the transformation of food systems, and support the development of local markets for small producers.

 

To ensure the quality and effectiveness of these interventions, WFP prioritizes the strategic management of beneficiary information throughout all phases of the program cycle: from registration and validation to programming, distribution, and reconciliation of assistance. Timely analysis of this data improves operational efficiency, ensures traceability, and supports evidence-based decision-making.

 

Within this framework, the RAM (Research, Assessment, and Monitoring) Unit leads the evaluation, monitoring, and context analysis processes, ensuring that programmatic decisions are based on reliable and relevant information. Within RAM, the Identity Management (IDM) team plays a key role in managing systems and processes related to beneficiary data, ensuring compliance with principles of security, privacy, and proper information management.

 

The selected individual will work on the IDM team under the supervision of the Data Management, Analytics, and Innovation Associate. They will join a multidisciplinary team of analysts and data management specialists. Their work will be key to ensuring accurate and timely management of beneficiary information at all stages of the program cycle. In addition to processing, validating, monitoring, and detecting anomalies, they will contribute to the establishment of strategies, policies, and procedures for the proper processing of data, its analysis, and use for decision-making, providing evidence that strengthens the quality of implementation.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The selected individual will be responsible for supporting beneficiary information management throughout all phases of WFP’s program cycle in Colombia, in close coordination with the Identity Management (IDM) team. Their primary responsibilities include:
  • Provide technical support and advice to the area offices and units involved (Programs, Supply Chain, TEC, RAM, Finance) in activities related to beneficiary data management and the distribution mechanisms used in the different projects.
  • Support basic data analysis and reporting on beneficiaries assisted in various ways, using available corporate platforms to generate evidence to support decision-making.
  • Contribute to the implementation of data capture tools, ensuring information quality and compliance with corporate guidelines regarding privacy, security, personal data protection, and identity management.
  • Participate in assistance reconciliation processes, monitoring, identifying inconsistencies, and preparing internal reports to improve traceability and operational efficiency.
  • Manage inter-institutional requests related to beneficiary information, including the preparation of reports on the progress and results of ongoing projects.
  • Support the updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to the control of beneficiary and distribution data, in coordination with the corresponding technical areas.
  • Gain self-directed knowledge from WFP’s e-learning platform, online technical forums, and other resources to effectively fulfill their responsibilities and share this knowledge with other WFP Colombia members.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

 

Education:

Completion of secondary education. A professional degree in administration, systems engineering, industrial engineering, or related fields is desirable.

 

Experience:

3 or more years of experience in personal data processing and IT platforms specializing in personal data management.

 

Desirable experience:

Knowledge of document or process management, as well as report preparation.

Advanced MS Excel proficiency.

Experience in using applications for process documentation is desirable.

Experience in data visualization technologies such as Tableau and PowerBI is desirable.

 

Languages:

Oral and written fluency in Spanish, knowledge of English is desirable.
