MI has been registered in Türkiye since 2014 and has since built up its own office structure. MI now has two offices in southeastern Türkiye (Kilis and Gaziantep). The Malteser InternationaI team provides technical guidance and oversees management and administration of the partner-implemented projects in Türkiye and Northern Syria. MI is responsible for the procurement of the main medical supplies in Türkiye, the reporting and application as well as the quality assurance. In addition to the implementation of humanitarian and transitional aid projects, Malteser International´s strategic objective is the strengthening of the civil society structures in Türkiye and Syria. Malteser International focuses in Northwestern Syria and Türkiye on the sectors of health, livelihood, protection as well as social cohesion.

For its work in Northwestern Syria and Türkiye, Malteser International is looking for a motivated Health Program Officer – National Position.

MI’s Health Program Officer strategically plans and implements high-quality healthcare in partner facilities, ensuring adherence to global standards and donor requirements.

Your responsibilities:
Analyze and revise project reports, clarify questions, and follow up on recommendations.
Contribute to progress narrative reports and track project progress according to the work plan.
Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders on health projects.
Provide technical expertise for health services, including training and capacity building.
Develop tools and guidelines to ensure good medical practice and service quality.
Conduct research and analysis to inform program design.
Monitor and supervise service delivery at MI-supported health facilities.
Your profile:
Bachelor’s degree in medicine or another related field.
Minimum 3 years of professional and proven experience implementing humanitarian projects.
Experience in managing field activities through remote management.
Fluent in English language, knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage.
Good command of excel, word, and other MS office applications.
Good report writing skills.
Honest, transparent, and hard-working professional with a spirit of working as a team.
