Job Context
- Social Assistance and Rehabilitation for the Physically Vulnerable (SARPV) is a non- government, non-political, Bangladeshi organization under its Health & Nutrition program providing lifesaving health & nutrition support to the local Bangladeshi & Rohingya people of Cox`s Bazar.
- Employment Status: Contractual till October`2023 (Renewable based on fund availability)

Job Responsibilities
- Take responsibility of overseeing and guiding the practical and long-term planning as well as the execution of the nutrition initiative within the FDMN camp and the host community located in Cox’s Bazar district.:
- Make concept notes and project proposals based on program requirements.
- Create a detailed implementation plan and budget for the project in accordance with the donor’s specifications and SARPV’s programming principles.
- Provide strategic and tactical guidance to project staff members to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Ensure adherence to implementation processes/strategies, relevant policies, and procedures at all stages of the project.
- Develop timely budget forecasts, monitor budget utilization, and manage resources in alignment with the approved plan.
- Obtain necessary government approvals for the project with the support of SARPV management.
- Assess project progress, constraints, challenges, opportunities, and take appropriate actions to ensure effective implementation of the nutrition project.
- Provide timely administrative, logistical, and other support to maintain smooth project operations.
- Ensure the standard quality of nutrition program, performance management of staff and create conducive positive work culture within the project.
- Ensure that the project staff members have a comprehensive understanding of the nutrition project, including its objectives, outcomes, outputs, activities, and implementation methods.
- Maintain a high standard of quality in the nutrition program and ensure that staff adhere to their job descriptions and complete required tasks efficiently and on time.
- Monitor the attendance and punctuality of nutrition center staff, ensuring they respect working hours.
- Enhance the competencies of the project team to align with the project’s objectives.
- Identify areas for staff capacity improvement and take appropriate steps to address them.
- Ensure the quality of services offered through nutrition programs, such as outreach activities and facility-based activities like CMAM, CMAM-I, GMP, cooking demonstrations, Mukhe Bhaat Ceremony, and micronutrient supplementation.
- Take initiatives to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the integrated nutrition facility (INF) within the camps.
- Support the team in planning and implementing various campaigns, such as MUAC mass screening, VAS, and deworming campaigns.
- Make sure adequate and proper supplies and utilization of food, non-food items and medications in nutrition center.:
- Ensure that the procurement of project resources, such as vehicle rentals, furniture, equipment, and stationery, is carried out in accordance with the policies and procedures of SARPV and the donor.
- Guarantee that supply requests are submitted to the funding agency promptly.
- Ensure that the food and non-food items, as well as medications, requested by nutrition center supervisors adequately meet the program’s needs (including OTP, TSFP, BSFP, cooking demonstrations, Mukhey Bhat Ceremony, and micronutrient distribution).
- Ensure that food and non-food items are used appropriately and in adherence to the standard protocols within the nutrition program.
- Establish proper stock management systems at the camp level for food, non-food items, and medications.
- Knowledge Management, Program development, and Reporting:
- Provide overall guidance for planning, coordinating, and managing key monitoring and evaluation events, such as situation analysis, baseline and end line assessments, mid-term reviews, and need-based studies, in close collaboration with SARPV senior management and donor agencies.
- Ensure the development of a project-specific monitoring and evaluation framework, and ensure that relevant staff members are well-oriented and actively implementing the M&E plan, learning and development procedures, and understand their roles in knowledge management.
- Establish adequate resources and systems to capture and document best practices and lessons learned by the implementing project.
- Ensure the good Coordination, communication and collaboration with all the partners at the camp and sector level.
- Establish good working relationship with all the nutrition sector partners (MoH, ACF, CONCERN, CARE, ESDO, SHED, GK, and RI) and the official authorities CIC.
- Timely communication of program-related progress with them.
- Make sure that a close follow-up and feedback system is in place for the referral cases (nutrition centre, SC, OPD, IPD).
- Make sure proper communication, and collaboration with other programs (mental health, WASH, child protection, Education, food security) at the camp level.
- Attend and represent SARPV during coordination meetings at camp level and Upazila NGO coordination meetings.
- Attend and represent SARPV in the CMAM and IYCF Technical Working Group meeting and comply with the sector decision.
- Keep updated the hierarchy and funding agency about the brief minutes of the meeting that take place at the camp and Upazila level.
- Ensure the overall safeguarding within the programme, SARPV is dedicated to preventing any form of undesirable conduct in the workplace, such as sexual harassment, exploitation, abuse, lack of integrity, and financial misconduct.
Educational Requirements
- Master’s Degree in relevant field. Advanced knowledge on Nutrition, Public health and/or humanitarian emergencies will add extra value.
Experience Requirements

Additional Requirements
- Minimum four (4) years’ experience in humanitarian experience with at least 2 years’ experience in managing different nutrition survey works (designing, survey methodology development, survey team recruitment and training, sample size calculations and sampling, field supervision, data analysis and survey report writing).
- Have a sound knowledge and experience on project management.
- Fluency in English with excellent professional writing and presentation skills.
- Proficient knowledge on standard computer software and Microsoft office.
