  • Chattogram Languages is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience 2 years in project management and implementation preferably in PSEAH/GBV/Protection Program in humanitarian settings.
  • Strong understanding of PSEAH/GBV/Protection programing
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in supervision, coordination, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software.
  • Fluency in [relevant languages if applicable].
  • Work experience in the Rohingya camp context in Bhasanchar is preferred.
  • Commitment to PSEAH/GBV/Protection, community development, social justice, and community empowerment.

Job Context

Reported to: Program Coordinator

Position Overview: Program Officer for the “ Capacitate and Mobilize the Community to Inform and Strengthen the Complaint and Feedback Mechanism for a Victim/Survivor Centered Approach to PSEAH for the Forcefully Displaced Myanmar Nationals” pilot project supported by CHS Alliance will coordinate and oversee the assigned activities of Program Facilitators to empower the Rohingya community in Bhasan Char to address the PSEAH. This includes supervising and guiding Program Facilitators in engaging the community, providing training, developing resources, facilitating outreach work, conducting courtyards sessions and door to door visit with key message, strengthening complaint mechanisms, monitoring progress, and advocating for survivor-centered approaches.

Job Location: Bhasanchar, Hatiya, Noakhali.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop field based project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Supervise 02 Program Facilitators
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and track key performance indicators.
  • Manage project budgets, expenditures, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare timely and accurate project reports for donors and partners compiling Facilitators Report.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Provide capacity-building assistance to project staff and partners.
  • Coordinate project activities and ensure effective communication at field level.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Continuously monitor progress, learn from successes and challenges, and adapt strategies as needed.
  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and trainings.
  • Coordinate logistics for project activities and events.
  • Support the recruitment and management of project staff and consultants.
  • Ensure that project activities are implemented in accordance with the project’s objectives and donor requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including contracts, agreements, and procurement records in consultation with Program Coordinator.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor project activities of Program Facilitators and provide support to Program Facilitators.
  • Write Reports.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment to maximize project effectiveness.
  • Liaise with other organizations and projects to leverage resources and opportunities for collaboration.
  • Stay informed about relevant developments in the field and incorporates best practices into project implementation.
  • Engage in knowledge sharing and dissemination activities to promote learning and innovation within the organization and the broader community.
  • Any other activity directed by the supervisor.
