Brief details:

Under the general supervision of the IOM Peru Chief of Mission, and the direct supervision of the Programme Coordinator (Response and Recovery), the post holder will support the implementation and monitoring of the projects and activities in charge of this unit, and of the mission in general.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide support in the implementation of activities and projects in the area of ​​Programs and the mission.
  2. Assist in the various phases of project execution, including basic physical and financial monitoring of activities, information management, logistical and administrative tasks, document review, support in the circulation of terms of reference, payment processing, and preparation of preliminary versions of reports.
  3. Support in the collection of internal information, and in the preparation of reports, official letters and memoranda, keeping the documentation organized and accessible (document management in the cloud).
  4. Provide support in coordinating with internal and external actors, such as other United Nations agencies, government counterparts and civil society organizations, following the supervisor’s instructions.
  5. Support the logistical and administrative preparation of internal and external meetings, seminars, workshops, ceremonies or similar activities.
  6. Collaborate in the collection of basic data for the monitoring and evaluation activities that the mission considers relevant.
  7. Maintain up-to-date records and monitoring tools for projects and activities of the mission’s programs.
  8. Provide operational support in the implementation of humanitarian assistance activities, including logistical coordination of needs assessment, identification and prioritization of beneficiaries, delivery of assistance and post-distribution monitoring activities.
  9. Support administrative and logistical tasks related to new activities aimed at meeting basic needs, strengthening the link between humanitarian assistance, development and peace, and emergency preparedness, as indicated.
  10. Perform other administrative and operational support tasks as assigned by your supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or related fields from an accredited academic institution with 2 years of work experience; or,
  • High school diploma with a minimum of 4 years of work experience
Experience
  • Experience providing administrative or logistical support in project implementation.
  • Experience in supporting the organization of meetings or communications with public, private or civil society institutions.
  • Previous work experience in the United Nations System, other international cooperation agencies or civil society organizations will be valued;
Skills
  • Familiarity with the management of administrative, logistical and financial processes;
  • Organizational skills, time management to meet deadlines and routine tasks.
  • Attention to detail and a solution-oriented attitude in the execution of activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to established procedures and work efficiently in operational environments.

Solid computer skills, including proficiency in various Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, MS Teams).

Languages
  • Spanish: Native (oral and written)
  • English: Intermediate (spoken and written)
