Context:

Under the overall supervision of the CCCM Program Coordinator , technical supervision of the head of Information management and the direct supervision of the CCCM Programme Officer, the successful candidate will contribute to roll out IOM CCCM programmes and will be responsible to support IOM CCCM unit, he/she will perform the following duties.

Job Description:

  1. Support the development, implementation, and administration of CCCM databases information systems to gather and process information required for reporting and presenting purposes.
  2. Good understanding of industry standard design principles and patterns to attain high re-usability and maintainability of the dashboards and reports.
  3. Support the reporting and analysis of data. Maintain data consistency and provide statistical information and mapping.
  4. Maintain the CCCM database, information products, tracking sheets in the share drive and monthly updating it for the all-implementation area.
  5. Draft analytical reports, interactive visualizations, maps, and charts for the CCCM products and reports.
  6. Support in determining the operational feasibility of new software requirements the development and implementation of software development Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on establishing source control, continuous integration, deployment, and issue tracking.
  7. Carry out data quality checks on datasets produced when needed.
  8. Design and develop assessment forms, using KOBO Toolbox and participate in the revision of the tools for CCCM.
  9. Complete knowledge on Power BI and producing dashboards through using the system,
  10. Visit field offices to provide supportive monitoring and training of the data entry clerks to ensure the quality of data entered into CCCM CRC databases.
  11. Other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Equivalent or Higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related courses, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with (3) three years of relevant professional experience.

Or

  •  High School diploma with (5) five years of relevant professional experience.

Experience

At least 3 years’ experience in data/information management, preferably in crisis and humanitarian situations.

Experience with International Organizations, INGO or LNGOs is an advantage.

SKILLS

  • Strong database design and management skills (familiarity with software such as MS Access, Excel, MySQL)
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office software products is required (especially MS Access, MS Excel, MS Power-point, MS Word).
  • Good knowledge of interactive visualization software is required (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Web design and database programming/administration skills (familiarity with PHP, HTML, DRUPAL, etc.).
  • The understanding of humanitarian indicators and their development
  • Publication development/production, especially drafting text, design of graphic elements and layout. ·
  • Good knowledge of GIS systems and supporting software (QGIS, ESRI ArcMap10.2 are required), and experience in the development and management of spatial/geographic data layers is an advantage.
  • Knowledge/familiarity with: Google Earth, In-Design, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator is an advantage.

Languages

  • For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written).
  • Working knowledge of Pashto or Dari is advantages.
