- Must be willing and able to travel in the camp location five days a week.
- Project locations are in remote areas in refugee camps. Staff is expected to live in his/her base location.
Responsibilities & Context
- This position is responsible to assist for project implementation of the UNESCO project especially documentation, record keeping, system tracking, data entry, community mobilization, conducting community training, supervising community outreach facilitators/teachers, and tracking budget lines for project activities. The project assistant will also work closely with community and other sector staff to identify project gaps and risks and share findings regularly to inform advocacy.Project Implementation & Management:
- Assist the UNESCO project team to implement their work at field level teachers, facilitators, and outreach workers for greater ministry impact, in the community. Support project teams in desk work & paper preparation and collecting all the necessary information needed to help the project team maintain liaison with CIC, Camp management agencies, service providers, community leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation. Fully support and assist project teams in raising PR timely in Provision, cash planning, facilitator’s remuneration & settlement, coordination with finance, admin, communication & advocacy team, and file management. Coordinate with the project staff to ensure the standard for implementing projects in emergencies as well as gender mainstreaming. Administrative support to the project team to organize meetings with GPS/LC teachers, women, men, and boys to ensure effective participation and support in the respective project activities. Collect all the field-level data, monthly minutes, and quarterly and annual project management documents including implementation plans and reports. Assist sector and project staff in the distribution process of NFI distribution with the distribution team, government liaison, warehouse, etc. Support the project team in preparing activity planning, implementation, monitoring, budget burn & analysis, data keeping & documentation, and report submission. Technical and Capacity building: Assist project staff in organizing to train women, men, community leaders, religious leaders, boys, and girls on subjects based on the needs of the project. Disseminate information to the community on where and how to report project incidences and encourage reporting. Document and share key project risks identified during implementation. Assist in doing final printing/photocopy/ develop context-specific IEC materials and messages to facilitate community-level sessions. Assist communities in identifying their priorities, opportunities, and resources for effective project implementation & response, participation, and psychosocial project implementation.Partnership, Networking & Advocacy:
- Assist in establishing and liaising closely with other partners, agencies, and local leaders regarding project activities to ensure a coordinated approach to project implementation, including participation in relevant workshops, meetings. Support emergency preparedness/assessments and response.Financial Management Budget Control and Monitoring:
- Assist the project team in doing any cash advance, financial settlement, or plan of activities as per direction/suggestions by the project manager. Assist to project team to do settlement with every activity with proper documents, training/event report, master roll, photos, bill/vouchers, etc. Need to carry out any other necessary & required activities that need to support the project team.
