Job Context
- The Project Coordinator of SUFAL Phase-II is responsible for – managing all aspects of SUFAL Phase-II Project in relation to delivering all project interventions which support communities and institutions to take Forecast-Based Actions to protect assets, lives and livelihoods of target communities from negative impacts of monsoon flood in the northwest and flash flood and lightning in northeast Bangladesh.
- Type of Contract: Fixed Term Contract up to September 2024 with possibility for extension
- Duty Station: Head Office, Dhaka with 60% travel to program areas

Educational Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Disaster Management/Geography and Environmental/ Development Studies. Academic qualification will be relaxed a candidate who brings 5-6 years of experience in disaster management field.

Additional Requirements
- At least five years of experience in the areas of Disaster Preparedness, Response/DRR/Flood Management/ Resilience Building of which at least 4 years of experience in managerial position;
- 1-2 years of experience in Anticipatory Action/Early Warning Early Action/Forecast-based Action or Financing will get added advantage;
- Demonstrated familiarity with grant management and compliance requirements of major institutional donors (e.g. ECHO, FCDO, USAID etc.);
- Experience of managing partners’ (local/national NGOs) and consortium-led project;
- Solid experience of Project Cycle Management, including MEAL systems;
- Demonstrated experience of working on programmes that have a strong focus on gender equality, women’s empowerment, inclusion, and transformative approaches;
- Ability to communicate, correspond independently with consortium members, Senior Government Officials. Ability to represent the project at various levels, including local and national;
- Sound knowledge on computer (MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint). Have very good skills and expertise at communicating by email and internet.
Salary: Tk. 91400 – 111097 (Monthly)
