Job Description:

- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop detailed project plans outlining the scope, timeline, resources, and deliverables for the CBNI project.
- Ensure alignment of project goals with organizational objectives.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including local communities, health workers, and government officials, to ensure smooth project implementation.
- Team Management:
- Lead, manage, and motivate project teams to meet project goals efficiently.
- Assign tasks, set clear expectations, and monitor team performance.
- Conduct regular meetings to review project progress and address challenges.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Develop and maintain monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks to track project progress and impact.
- Collect, analyze, and report data related to project performance and community outcomes.
- Ensure timely reporting of results to relevant stakeholders.
- Budget and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets to ensure effective allocation of funds.
- Monitor expenditures to ensure the project stays within budget.
- Ensure optimal use of resources (human, financial, and materials).
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as donors, local authorities, and community leaders.
- Facilitate communication between field staff, beneficiaries, and partners.
- Represent the project at relevant meetings, conferences, and forums.
- Risk Management:
- Identify project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Proactively address challenges and adapt project plans as needed.
- Communicate issues and concerns promptly to senior management.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that project activities are conducted according to established standards, best practices, and guidelines.
- Regularly review project outcomes to ensure they meet quality and impact expectations.
- Oversee the implementation of community nutrition interventions, ensuring cultural appropriateness and effectiveness.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to stakeholders, including donors, government authorities, and project sponsors.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, including meeting notes and reports.
- Contribute to donor accountability and project audits.
- Capacity Building and Training:
- Develop training materials and programs to enhance the capacity of project staff and community workers.
- Organize training workshops and sessions to ensure the effective implementation of CBNI strategies at the community level.
- Advocacy and Awareness:
- Promote awareness of community-based nutrition interventions through advocacy campaigns.

Job Requirements:
- Education: University degree in Medical Doctor (MD), Public Health, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Experience: 5-10 years of progressive work experience in survey, assessment, and data collection with INGOs or Afghan NGOs.
- Proven experience in managing community-based nutrition projects (CBNI) or related interventions.
- Demonstrated experience in team management, working with stakeholders, and implementing nutrition, WASH, or livelihood programs.
- Experience in rural or conflict-affected settings in Afghanistan or similar regions is preferred.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Knowledge of nutrition, health, and community-based interventions.
- Budget management and financial oversight skills.
- Proven ability to manage risks, identify solutions, and adapt to changing conditions.
- Familiarity with M&E (Monitoring and Evaluation) frameworks and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) practices and their integration into community programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other project management tools.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of local languages (Dari or Pashto) is highly preferred.
