Responsibilities & Context
The overall responsibility of this position includes being the main point of contact for the coordination of the Pooled Fund Education sector with various stakeholders – including partner organizations, the Cox’s Bazar Education sector, RRRC office, CIC Offices, and other relevant agencies/ platforms and organizations. The role also involves facilitating the Education project design and implementation by the Partner Organizations of PF and ensuring no overlap of activities, in geographic locations, population and guarantee overall project merit.
- Provide support directly to the Pooled Fund, including – the BRAC HCMP Education sector leads and the Pooled Fund Secretariat
- Maintain regular coordination with the Pooled Fund-supported Education BNGO partner organizations
- Initiate regular project coordination meetings with partners and with other stakeholders, both internal and external entities, when required
- Maintain communications with Area Focal Agencies and the Cox’s Bazar Education Sector, regarding mobilizing funds based on identified needs
- Represent BRAC and the Pooled Fund in the different sector coordination meetings – and provide updated information regarding the Pooled Fund project, including objectives, activities (ie EOIs), implementation, etc
- Provide support and guidance to ensure quality for the PF reports – including that these are produced and submitted in a timely manner (as per the agreed upon reporting schedule) and submitted to the PF MEAL and Sub-grants managers
- Monitor the PF-funded organizations’ projects agreed resources are appropriately utilized with full accountability (including procurement) and transparency
- Ensure the PF-funded partner organizations’ s agreed Education budget is being utilized 100% in accordance with the Pooled Fund, BRAC and donor’s compliance
- Undertake regular field visits to provide technical guidance and supervision and monitor the progress of the PF-funded organizations’ project activities
- Facilitate donor’s and BRAC high officials’ field visits as and when required
- Practice, promote and endorse all the Pooled fund cross-cutting themes for all the PF-funded partner organizations, including Gender, Social Inclusion (disability) Safeguarding and Climate and Environment Sustainability
- Ensuring that all these themes are being considered, implemented and practiced by the PF-funded BNGO partner organizations for all their project activities
- Assist and guide the PF-funded partner organizations with complaints, grievances, or problems Report and seek guidance from the Pooled Fund Secretariat Team for following-up
- Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
