About UNV:
UNV stands for United Nations Volunteers, a program that aims to increase awareness of the contributions made by volunteers to the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda. The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) program is a component of the UNDP and is headquartered in Bonn, Germany. The program organizes volunteers to work with United Nations partners to advance peace, development, and humanitarian activities in nations all around the world. Tasks and Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of Program Specialist, Adolescents and Youth (AY), the International UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
- Supports communications component of UNFPA’s AY program
- Supports development and/or review of media releases, key messages, media FAQs, speeches, stories, and presentations
- Provides support in the designing and implementation of online behaviour change and information campaigns and track and tabulate media exposure
- Contributes to writing, designing and review of project pitches, concept notes and proposals to private and public donors
- Supports coordination of projects and activities funded by Korean Government and KOICA and ensure timely communication and exchange of information
- Encourages, mobilizes and supports co-workers, fellow UN Volunteers and members of the local community to play an active part in development on a voluntary basis.
