Role Summary
Support the country programme with a focus on MEAL* ( 50%), mainly for Health & Nutrition programmes, while also developing the Emergency Shelter (ES) / NFI and Cash & Voucher assistance (CVA) capacity and identifying opportunities.
*Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) support the full implementation and maintenance of appropriate systems introducing appropriate use of available innovative MEAL tools.
Project Overview
Medair is currently implementing Health & Nutrition projects in the Blue Nile and Khartoum States, with the intention to expand emergency programming in Shelter/ NFI and CVA. The strategic expansion focus includes North and central Darfur in 2025.

Responsibilities:
• MEAL programming responsibilities: Support the mainstreaming of AAP (Accountability to Affected Populations), while managing the Feedback and Complaints Mechanism. Design, develop and/or modify high quality assessments, monitoring, and evaluation activities. Support the management and implementation of field-level assessments, monitoring and evaluation data collection activities.
• MEAL cross-cutting responsibilities: Support the integration of programme quality expectations into MEAL activities. Support the development of data collection tools that adhere to Medair’s Data Quality Checklists. Provide statistics and a comprehensive donor report in collaboration with input from the PM and the team.
• MEAL strategy, approach and other selected components: Internal and external communication, collaboration and networking: Contribute to appropriate, regular, transparent, and supportive communication between the MEAL team and all other departments. Participate in relevant internal and external working groups and networks.
• ES/NFI & CVA Responsibilities: Contribute to appropriate and effective ES/NFI and CVA proposals and programming; identifying opportunities and challenges that the implementation of ES/NFI and CVA in the programme implies. Attend the ES/NFI cluster and the Sudan Cash Working Group. Contribute to developing multi-sectoral needs assessment and a market survey.
Qualifications, Experience & Technical Competencies:
• University degree in relevant subject or equivalent professional/technical qualification
• Language skills: Good English (spoken and written)

• Capacity to work under pressure and manage personal stress levels
• Able to oversee multiple tasks, prioritizing independently, meeting deadlines as required
