Education
- Bachelor’s in Psychology, Educational Psychology, School Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Social science, Anthropology, Gender studies
- Postgraduate degree in Psychology will give preference

- Minimum of 2 years working experiences in the relevant field.
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience in Rohingya context is desired for this position.
- Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation effectively.
- Clear Understanding on the issues project must work on.
- Knowledge on the Rohingya refugee crisis and Response.
- Ability to speak Chittagong/Rohingya.
- Bangla and English: Both written and verbal is an added advantage.
- Good conceptual and practical Knowledge on Child Protection System in Bangladesh.
- Good knowledge and skills in Child Protection minimum standard and Child Protection in Emergency.
- Good training and facilitation skills.Community engagement and participation.
- Excellent communication, networking skills and active listening abilities.
- Ability to work under stressful condition and adaptive to local culture and situation effectively.
- Understanding of and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Team player with the capacity to work collaboratively within a team.
- Basic knowledge of mental health conditions and treatment approaches (specific requirements may vary by employer).
Responsibilities & Context
The PSS Officer is responsible for providing support to the PSS Assistant to facilitate structured and non-structured, static, and outreach, age, gender and needs-appropriate PSS activities to children, adolescents, and caregivers in the assigned Camps/Host community area along with the Multi-purpose Community Centre (MPCC) in addition to the camp setting.
S/He will work under the supervision of Deputy Project Manager and in close collaboration with PSS Technical Specialist.
- Responsibility-1: Technical Support and Supervision. Project Implementation, Management & Supervision.
- Responsibility-2: Technical and Capacity building.
- Responsibility-3: Coordination, Networking and Representation.
- Responsibility-4: Child Protection/ Safeguarding.
