HHRD Afghanistan (Regional Office of Helping Hand USA) got registered as an international INGO in February 2014 with the number of (402) with the ministry of economy in the Islamic republic of Afghanistan to serve Afghan destitute families all over Afghanistan, HHRD needs one Psychiatrist for CPRP project in Nangarhar Province which will receive 18000 AFN monthly salary including all benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Perform psychological assessment of patients and counseling services to the clients.
• Assess the psychosocial need of children, women, and girls for psychosocial support in the community.
• Utilize appropriate protocols and guidelines general health.
• Assess patients through interviews, observations, tests, and medical history reviews.
• Diagnose patients according to local and international standards
• Develope comprehensive treatment plans and prescribing medication as needed.
• Consult with other medical professionals and psychologists.
• Regularly follow up with the patient to check progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed.
• Thoroughly documenting each patient’s diagnosis, symptoms, medication, treatment effectiveness, etc.
• Provide patients with emotional support and strategies to help manage their disorder.
• Research new developments in psychiatry and mental health and apply according for the patients he receive.

Requirments :

• BA degree in psychiatry, psychology, mental health, from recognized university.
• At least three years of experience of working with NGOs or two years with government in relevant position.
• Received psychosocial standard training would be an asset
• Strong Command on English and Pashto/Dari.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent in English and Dari typing.
