Main Responsibilities

 

Depending on the level of complexity of our health services, leading the

processes and procedures specific to:

  • Single Accreditation System (SUH).
  • Single Accreditation System (SUA).
  • Health Quality Information System (SICS).

 

Focusing especially, though not exclusively, on:

  1. Define and document the processes, procedures, clinical care guidelines and protocols of the enabled services.
  2. Develop the necessary activities to enable the services that the program wishes to implement.
  3. Accompany the visits made by the control bodies related to the issues of authorization and quality of service.
  4. Respond to improvement plans.
  5. Design, implement and monitor risk management improvement plans.
  6. Review and validate the medical record standard according to the Colombian standard.
  7. Audit the records in the medical history of: anamnesis, health conditions, habits, medication use, general physical examination, education and warning signs, nursing notes, clinical records of procedures, educational components and follow-up.
  8. Create, adjust and implement the pharmacovigilance and technovigilance manual.
  9. Develop and implement the Patient Safety Policy in coordination with the healthcare team.
  10. Design, implement and support the User Information and Support System – SIAU.
  11. Create and/or adjust the informed consent procedure, as well as the required dissent form in health care in situations where the person refuses to receive prescribed care and treatments.
  12. Lead, implement and support the relevant health committees according to Colombian regulations
  13. To be the focal point for infection control and prevention in the center, including related guidelines and protocols.
  14. Communicate in a timely manner the alerts issued by INVIMA.
  15. Support the process of implementing services that the program advances.
  16. Prepare reports according to the requested frequency (daily/weekly/monthly)
  17. Submit the Individual Health Benefits Record – RIPS daily.
  18. To correctly and promptly complete the notification forms for events of public health interest for subsequent upload to the SIVIGILA platform.
  19. To accompany the educational and ongoing training sessions provided by the program
  20. Provide support and mentoring to the team when needed
  21. Plan, coordinate and supervise staff work plans and staff training/development activities.
  22. Maintain open and professional relationships with team members
  23. Design strategies and monitor compliance with quality and enablement standards
  24. Analyze primary and secondary data for the evaluation of results and the continuous improvement of services.
  25. Participate in institutional and inter-institutional meetings as assigned
  26. To articulate and establish a coherent link with the health secretariat and the departmental health institute related to the provision of health services
  27. Carry out the responsibilities assigned by the Senior Health Manager to advance and develop the IRC’s health programs.

 

Requirements

  1. Professional in health areas, Medicine, Nursing, Health Administration, human sciences, administration or engineering.
  2. Specialization in Management and/or Auditing in Health, or in related areas.
  3. Minimum 6 months of proven experience in health auditing and quality management in health services, preferably in institutions of the Colombian health system.
  4. Optional/Desirable: Minimum 6 months of experience in humanitarian aid, preferably in crisis situations (natural disasters, migration, armed conflicts, health emergencies, etc.)
  5. Knowledge of healthcare quality standards (ISO 9001, Ministry of Health standards, etc.). Experience working with ISO 3100/2019 is highly valued.
  6. Experience in design and implementation of quality management systems in healthcare.
  7. Internal and external auditing techniques in the health sector.
  8. Knowledge of public health policies, national and local health regulations.
  9. Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, fostering a collaborative and motivating environment.
  10. Analytical skills for results evaluation and continuous improvement.
