Qualifications:

Afghanistan Development and Welfare Services Organization (ADWSO), an Afghan Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) operates in Afghanistan since 2008.  ADWSO’s priority sector areas are Women Empowerment, Livelihood Support, Vocational Training, Child Protection, Capacity Building and Rule of Law.

ADWSO intends to submit a proposal to UN Women for an upcoming project aimed at strengthening the capacity of Women-Owned Businesses (WOBs) in market access and access to finance.

As part of the proposal development process, ADWSO is collecting CVs of qualified professionals to be considered for key project positions in the event the project is awarded. This announcement does not constitute a job offer and any future engagement will be strictly subject to successful project award and donor approval.

Job Description:

Position Summary

The Team Leader will be responsible for overall coordination, management, and quality assurance of project implementation. The role includes supervision of technical experts, oversight of training and coaching activities, and reporting to UN Women.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and coordination of project activities
  • Lead planning, implementation, and monitoring of trainings and mentoring sessions
  • Ensure quality assurance of all technical outputs and deliverables
  • Supervise and support technical team members
  • Coordinate closely with ADWSO management and UN Women
  • Prepare high-quality narrative and progress reports
  • Ensure gender-responsive and context-appropriate implementation

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in training, coaching, and capacity building of micro, small, and medium enterprises
  • Proven experience working with women entrepreneurs
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams and coordinating complex projects
  • Experience in humanitarian or fragile contexts is an asset
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, and reporting skills
  • Fluency in Dari and English (Pashto and/or Uzbek is an asset)
