Job Summary

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Stock Officer will work in close coordination with provincial coordinator, provincial supervisors and M&E/MIS officers and will be responsible for overall management, planning and reporting of stock supplies, nutrition commodities and pharmaceuticals existed in the stock. The key function of the position is to keep the entire inventory of the stock under the safe custody and store the nutrition commodities and pharmaceutical as per the standard guidelines of temperature, humidity and cold chain.

Duties & Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The incumbent should be able to understand, implement and / or maintain standard AKF inventory management policies and procedures.

• The stock officer will be responsible for receiving and verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments that includes Nutrition commodities (RUTF, RUSF, BP-5 Biscuits) , hygiene kits medicine and pharmaceuticals.

• The stock officer will receive supplies and check the receipt documents, quantities and quality before writing comments, dating and signing.

• The stock officer will ensure that stock cards are exists for all items and updated for every entry and exit of the item.

• The stock officer will be responsible for sorting, placing, and putting away the goods in the appropriate place in the stock according to the donor requirements.

• The stock officer will manage the stock in a manner to be well ventilated and kept at correct temperature and humidity.

• The stock officer will maintain accurate inventory records thorough the use of a computerized inventory system.

• He will manage and document the receipt, handling, storage, release and reporting of goods through the AKF stock policies and procedures.

• The stock officer will implement and ensure clear safety procedures.

• The stock officer will implement and ensure clear loading / unloading procedures, correct stocking, and turnover (FIFO) and (FEFO) procedures.

• The Stock officer will maintain the stock register book recording all outgoing and incoming receipts and activities.

• The stock officer will liaise with NPO Procurement/regional operation manager for the receipt of Goods, Supplies and equipment through proper documentation such as receipt of approved PR, Purchase Order, Invoice, and delivery report.

OCCASIONAL SIGNIFICANT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To conduct supervisory visits from the outreach teams and oversee the availability and balance of nutrition commodities and pharmaceuticals.

• To have close coordination with BPHS implementing agencies and other departments of AKF at regional levels.

• To facilitate the visits of national office, donor and the MoPH from the provincial stocks.

• Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the Project Coordinator or Program Manager or as per need of the project.

Job Requirements

JOB SPECIFICATION

• Graduated from Recognized pharmaceutical institutes or have bachelor’s degree in public health.

• At least 3 Years’ experience in managing the medical stocks.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, and local languages verbally and in writing.

• Be able to work under pressure with tight deadline

• Good computer knowledge of MS Office Packages.

• Very good interpersonal communication skills.

• Must be capable of working both individually and as part of a team to undertake tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong Communication and coordination skills
