About

Information about the organization that has offered the job:

  • Assist the Protection Coordinator in managing the IOM Haiti hotline as an important tool for “Accountability to Affected Populations” (AAP);
  • Answer hotline calls and provide information on IOM assistance to callers;
  • Refer callers to the various IOM units or appropriate structures/partners so that they receive the appropriate response and assistance;
  • Respond to complaints (via the hotline) and follow up on these complaints with the relevant units;
  • Report regularly on the number and type of calls;
  • Maintain the Hotline database with caller information;
  • Supervise and train the Hotline team; 
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the hotline;
  • Analyze hotline data and prepare regular reports; prepare inputs for briefings, statistical/narrative reports and background information as needed, including specific information requested by governments and other entities ;
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned. 

Qualifications

Education
  1. University degree or higher in social sciences, business administration or public administration, psychology with at least four years of professional experience in a relevant field;
  2. High school diploma (BAC) in any field with at least six years of professional experience in a relevant field;
Experience
  • Experience in an NGO, international agency or the United Nations.
Skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication and liaison skills in English and French; 
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer;
  • Very good time organization and work planning skills;
  • Ability to work harmoniously with colleagues from diverse cultures and professional backgrounds;
  • Personal commitment, flexibility, efficiency and desire for results;
  • Can work with minimal supervision.
Languages

Fluency in French and English is required (oral and written) 

IOM’s official languages are English, French and Spanish.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
