Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and qualified Tax Assistant to prepare the company tax payments and returns. As a Tax Assistant, your chief goal will be to recommend effective tax strategies that comply with laws and promote our company’s financial well-being. Your responsibilities will include preparing tax returns, Preparing Tax Documentation, analyzing tax regulations, and completing tax reports. To excel in this role, you must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of accounting procedures, Governement Tax Law and Regulations , as you’ll have to ensure our company meets strict deadlines. In addition to being an excellent communicator, our ideal candidate will also demonstrate keen attention to detail with excellent mathematical skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

1)     Prepare tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and Prepare, process, and maintain paperwork related to all aspects of the accounting cycle.

2)     Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions and Recommending tax improvements in the company’s process.

4)      Ensure you comply with regulations by forwarding required information to local authorities.

5)      Offer support and guidance during audits.

6)     Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes.

7)     Prepare accurate Monthly, quarterly and annual tax reports and filling.

8)     Prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns.

9)     Year End tax accounting and reporting

Job Requirements

Job Requirement

Education and Experience:

Ø Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant subject

Ø Proven work experience up to 3years as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst or Tax Preparer.

Ø Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures and must be familiar with Afghanistan Tax Law and Regulations.

Ø Familiarity with accounting software packages (QuickBooks)

Ø Sound knowledge and understanding of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.

Ø Computer literacy (MS Excel in particular)

Skills:

ü Good analytical, logical and Time Management skills.

ü Excellent oral and written communication skills.

ü A sharp eye for details for accuracy.

ü Ability to meet deadlines.

ü Extraordinary mathematics and problem-solving skills.

ü Ability to multitasks efficiently.

ü  Excellent written and verbal in English, Dari and Pashtoo languages.
