Job Summary
Job Summary :
The purpose of this position is to serve on the tax and compliance matters of Moore Afghanistan Clientele, including financial analysis and reporting for management. This position has oversight for general accounting, project accounting, tax filings, tax payments, interaction with relevant ministries and regulators and tax audit. This position is responsible for office financial, the conduct of the relationship of the office with Tax authorities, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of tax reports and taxation obligations. The Tax Accountant must ensure all financial management; tax obligations and requirements under Afghan law are met.
Duties & Responsibilities
Taxation:
- Prepare and perform Tax calculations
- Review financial data of the client and preparing the tax summaries
- Communicate effectively with clients/subsidiaries and MoF and other ministries
- Prepare and review tax forms
- Prepare Annual Income Tax Returns for reporting to MOF
- Extensive experience with online filing platform of the MOF
- Send monthly, quarterly and annual tax notifications to clients/subsidiaries
- Verification of Tax forms in tax offices
- Support Financial Management Team in preparing hard and soft files for proper record keeping.
- Having proper/updated tax accountant license from MOF

Reporting:
- Fulfil financial and other management reporting requirements, in accordance with prescribed Moore policy.

Job Requirements
Experience:
- Bachelors’ qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, FIA/ACCA or similar qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as a financial officer in public practice or commerce and industry
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in review and analysis of financial reports, tax filings, MOF communications
- Demonstrated experience in the development of business plans and the financial analysis of commercial opportunities
- Demonstrated experience in the development of accounting systems
- Proven experience in the design and analysis of financial data and reports
- Demonstrated experience in the supervision of staff
- Time management, communication, record keeping and multitasking skills
- Effective writing both in English and local languages and computer literacy
