Requirements

Education

  • BSc in Engineering (Civil / Water Resources) from any Public University. Master or equivalent degree in Environmental Engineering / Sanitation Engineer / Water Resources Engineering /Civil Engineering will get preference.

Experience

  • 5 to 7 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    NGO, Development Agency

Additional Requirements

  • Age 30 to 45 years
  • Field coordination, monitoring & supervision, Reporting, Preparation of design, drawing & BoQ’s etc.
  • Team management- Ability to work under limited supervision – Dynamism – Good report writing Ability- Presentation skills, Computer skills, etc.
  • Understanding of technical, social, and institutional issues relating to water, sanitation, and hygiene education in the Humanitarian response context.
  • Capable to design, drawing and estimate Water and Sanitation infrastructures independently.
  • Experience in preparing project work plan and budget; and implementing projects in different context.
  • Facilitation and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skill in English.
  • Computer skills (Have strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Water GEMS, GIS, MS Office).
  • High level of pro-activeness and creativity, positive attitude, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to plan and priorities tasks, competent to solve problems, promote integrity and aptitude to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Experience of working nationally/internationally in humanitarian programs focusing on WASH, preferably on UN humanitarian response.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet and deliver deadlines and willingness to travel frequently.
  • Proven expertise in English (both written and spoken) is essential.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Provide technical guidance and support to project overall technical issues, to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and impact soundness in the implementation and in accordance with standards and priorities.
  • Lead the delivery of overall technical services for humanitarian response to meet the standards and maintaining the quality.
  • Prepare drawing, design, and construction or upgradation of different types of WASH infrastructure as well as collaborative work with procurement to necessary support and quotation technical evaluation etc.
  • Maintain liaise with donor and NGO Forum central levels, and with other government and non-governmental stakeholders as required.
  • Facilitate donor and sectoral expert field visits and prepare visit briefing notes, presentation on WASH efforts (technical, analytical progress), and choice the visited area, as well as explain WASH operations to visitors.
  • Prepare several types of reports & Presentation relating to WASH efforts (technical, analytical, Programmatic visit, Quarterly and annual progress) and share with the WASH sector & donor report.
  • Maintain effective coordination with various stockholders (internal and external) for smooth implementation of WASH activities.
