The Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC) has a zero tolerance of sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (SEAH) both within the organization and of beneficiaries. Prevention of and protection from sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH) is the individual and collective responsibility of all NAC officers, management, staff, consultants, and volunteers, who are all required to familiarize themselves with, agree to, and act in accordance with NAC’s Ethical Guidelines and Commitment, NAC Child Protection Policy, and NAC PSEAH Policy, at all times – both during and outside working hours – and participate actively in introductory and refresher trainings. Any breaches of PSEAH clauses in NAC’s policies, guidelines, and/or commitments will lead to immediate termination and possible legal actions.

Job Description:

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence with NAC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines
  • Implement delegated Education project portfolio according to the plan.
  • Prepare, and support education team in material development for trainings.
  • Facilitate and conduct Psycho-social Support and Social Emotional Learning training in the field.
  • Conduct surveys, interviews, and observation with beneficiaries.
  • Coordination and support beneficiaries in terms health education activities.
  • Prepare, submit, and track purchase requisitions for the project materials and distribute it to the field.
  • Receive/dispatch textbooks and supplies, record and distribute in the province.
  • Arrange and coordinate travels of the education staff to the province and districts.
  • Organize meetings for the Kabul education staff; take meeting minutes.
  • Assist in arranging training sessions for stakeholders, beneficiaries, and school shura members when needed.
  • Type up, print, and bind training materials and other documentations.
  • Visit/contact various MoE departments to follow up matters of mutual interest and delivering/receiving messages if needed.
    Keep in order the education hard-copy filing system
  • Day to day follow of progress in project implementation
  • Promote and share ideas for technical improvement
  • Prepare periodic progress reports and other documents whenever required by Education Team.

Job Requirements:

Languages Required:

  •  English (Good or intermediate)
  • Pashto (Fluent)

Qualifications Required:

  • BA graduate from Social Sciences, Education, Psychology, Sociology
