Required Qualifications of UN Careers-Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys
Education:
Be enrolled in or have just graduated from a graduate or Ph.D. program in statistics, public policy, development studies, or economics (Applicants must be at least 18 years old).
Coursework in quantitative methods at the master’s or doctoral level is necessary, as is the capacity to communicate abstract statistical ideas in clear language.
Experience:
- Willingness to work in harsh conditions during the data collection fieldwork phase is required.
- Experience in large-scale household surveys and using computer-assisted personal interviewing (CAPI) is a strong asset.
- Experience in Pacific Island countries is a plus.
Languages:
English proficiency is necessary. It is advantageous to have knowledge of a local language or another official UN language, such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish.
