About UN Careers-National Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist
The primary goal of the FAO country offices, which are led by an FAO Representative, is to help governments develop policies, programs, and projects to achieve food security and to reduce hunger and malnutrition, as well as to help the development of the agricultural, fisheries, and forestry sectors and the sustainable use of their natural resources.
To ensure the FAO project is properly planned, developed, implemented, and the project results are delivered on schedule, provide technical knowledge.
The National Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist will work closely with the FAO international and national project staff under the general supervision and responsibility of the FAO Regional Representative for Europe and Central Asia (REU), functional and administrative oversight of the Assistant FAO Representative in Georgia, and direct supervision of the GCP/GEO/021/MUL Project Technical Advisor.
UN Careers-National Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist Requirments
Education:
- A university degree in development studies, economics, social sciences or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 2 years relevant professional experience in international cooperation development projects, preferably agricultural and rural development projects.
Languages:
- Working knowledge of English and Georgian languages (level C).
- National or resident of Georgia with a work permit.
