About UN Careers-Office Assistant
In order to support the Organization’s strategic aims, the Resource Mobilization and Private Sector Partnerships Division (PSR) directs and organizes the mobilization of voluntary contributions, which presently account for 70% of FAO’s budget. PSR oversees FAO’s relationships with resource partners, carefully balancing their interests with the Organization’s, and assists in the annual negotiation of almost 800 trust fund agreements. It organizes marketing analyses and campaigns focused on prospects for global development, offers management services for positioning and market and business intelligence, and develops the ability of dispersed and headquarters offices for resource mobilization. In order to ensure accountability to resource partners, PSR also supervises and manages results reporting.
The post is located in PSR at the FAO’s Rome headquarters.
The Office Assistant contributes to the effective and efficient operation of the Work Unit by carrying out a variety of ordinary administrative tasks and office support duties.
UN Careers-Office Assistant Requirments
- Secondary School Education.
- Two years of relevant experience in office support work.
- Proficient level C working knowledge of English and intermediate level B working knowledge of another official FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish).
- Knowledge of MS Office applications, Internet, and office technology equipment.
