UN Jobs-Communication Analyst Responsibilities
- Coordination of the planning and design of internal and external communication and outreach strategies:
- Assessing the CO’s communication needs (projects, country programs, and corporate transformation initiatives, for example);
- Analyzing requirements and synthesizing ideas for the development/update of the CO communications and outreach strategy in accordance with business strategic priorities and the UNDP External Communications Action Plan
- In collaboration with the supervisor, develop and produce communication and advocacy instruments and materials for marketing and awareness-raising efforts, including briefing materials and media materials.
- Synthesizing project formulation plans to incorporate advocacy and communication strategies into all parts of UNDP’s development program.
- Ensures the implementation of the CO publication strategy and plan:
- Creating an annual CO publication plan that is consistent with the yearly country office business plan and the Country Office Communication, Outreach, and Advocacy Strategy;
- Effectively implementing the CO publications plan;
- Managing CO publication tasks such as article writing, content management, and publication standards
- publishing, design, and maintenance of regular contact with media, journalists, printers, and other suppliers to ensure production and publication dissemination.
UN Jobs-Communication Analyst Requirments
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in media relations, journalism, and publishing. A Master’s degree or Ph.D. is an advantage.
Experience:
- At least two years of relevant national or international experience in public relations, communications, or advocacy.
- Experience designing and implementing internal and external communication and outreach plans;
- Experience in drafting articles, content management, norms for publishing, design, and publication dissemination;
- Experience managing and developing content for websites and social media platforms;
Languages:
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Khmer is required.
