About UN Jobs-Deputy Representative Operations
The Deputy Representative Operations acts as a strategic business partner and the primary advisor on the overall administration and operation of the country office under the general supervision of the Representative and with the assistance of the Operations Team. As a member of our team, you will be in charge of fostering stronger links with the Programme team, Communication team, Field Offices, PFP team, and other Country Management Team members. In order to improve outcomes for children in all operational contexts, the Deputy Representative Operations will contribute to program and management choices, working closely with the Deputy Representative Programmes as well as the territory and field office managers.
UN Jobs-Deputy Representative Operations Requirments
Education:
It is necessary to have an advanced academic degree (Master’s degree or higher) in one of the following fields: A full professional accounting designation (CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CPFA, Expert Comptable) from an internationally recognized institute/body of accountancy with valid membership in good standing is required. It also helps to have experience in business management, financial management, accounting, public finance, and related operations functions (supply chain, human resources, information technology, international business, project management, etc.).
Experience:
It is necessary to have at least 10 years of professional experience, both domestically and abroad, particularly in the areas of advocating for and implementing strategic organizational initiatives in one or more operations management areas, such as budget, financial management and reporting, facilities management, administration, supply and logistics management, information and communication technology, and human resources. An asset would be prior experience working with international NGOs, the UN system, or the development sector.
languages:
English proficiency is necessary. Because the position will demand a dedication to becoming fluent in Portuguese, it is extremely preferable to be fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, or another roman language (if not already acquired).
