About UN Jobs-Executive Assistant/India/2023
The department’s overall objective is to assist Member States in developing and implementing national policies and strategies that ensure equitable and universal access to quality healthcare to accelerate decreases in maternal, newborn, and child mortality, address gender and equity disparities with a rights-based approach, end violence against women, girls, and children, and prevent sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment, among other things.
In this context, the goals of this position are to assist and work alongside Member States to continue developing and implementing national policies and strategies that guarantee equitable and universal access to high-quality healthcare. These include improving maternal and newborn health, children’s health, adolescent health, and the health of people in their reproductive and senior years, preventing disease through immunization, and promoting a gender-equity-rights approach to all program areas. In order to enhance healthcare delivery, the initiative recommends the Member States support nurses’ and midwives’ efforts, emphasize their issues, and advocate for them by raising their visibility.
Required Qualifications of UN Jobs-Executive Assistant/India/2023
Education:
Completion of secondary school education
Training in secretarial practices. A university degree is an asset.
Experience:
At least five (5 ) years of experience in secretarial/clerical/administrative work.
Experience in WHO or in another UN / International organization would be an advantage.
Languages:
Expert knowledge of English.
