About UN Jobs-Human Resources Specialist
The Eastern and Southern Africa Region (ESAR), which consists of 21 countries with various settings, is a multifaceted region. Employees in the Regional Office, as well as management and HR colleagues in the area, are supported by the ESARO HR team.
The incumbent is responsible for implementing HR services that improve their clients’ ability to meet their business goals and objectives under the direction of the Regional Head of Human Resources and within their sphere of influence. By doing this, the incumbent displays their capacity to foresee HR-related issues and provide follow-up strategies and solutions that integrate HR management with corporate goals. In order to further develop the team members’ competencies, the incumbent will oversee one team member and offer technical advice.
The objective of this temporary appointment post is to deliver on other pertinent areas falling under the purview of the function, give extra help to the ESARO HR team, and maintain continuity of high-quality HR client service to the specified Regional Office (RO) sections and country offices.
UN Jobs-Human Resources Specialist Requirments
Education:
- A graduate degree from an accredited university in human resource management, business management, psychology, or a similar discipline is needed. An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline plus two more years of work experience could be accepted in place of an advanced degree.
Experience:
- It takes five years of progressively more significant professional experience in human resource management in a large company or worldwide organization.
Languages:
- English proficiency is necessary. It is advantageous to have knowledge of a local language or another official UN language, such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish.
