About UN Jobs in Pakistan-Assistant Storekeeper
To enable receiving, sending, and verifying goods in order to improve warehouse operations, reduce losses, and promote the best storage management techniques that adhere to WFP warehouse standards and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- To support the receipt/dispatch of goods, including transshipment (from truck to truck), in accordance with officially recognized documents (such as waybills and/or delivery notes), assuring accuracy in the physical count of goods and that their quality complies with the set requirements.
- To guarantee prompt reporting on commodity movements in accordance with company requirements, prepare and check warehouse and transport documentation, and keep confidential files and correct warehouse transaction records.
- Support accurate inventory checks and daily warehouse closure reconciliation in accordance with warehouse management criteria.
- Perform daily inspections and prepare reports on the quantity and quality of the commodities received/dispatched and handled, and refer to the supervisor for appropriate action.
- In accordance with WFP-established protocols and with permission from the supervisor, assist in implementing the necessary safeguards to protect food and non-food commodities in order to assure quality control.
- Keep an eye on the state of the warehouse and the commodities, and take the necessary steps to encourage effective use of the warehouse’s space and orderly storage of the commodities in accordance with WFP warehouse standards.

Education:
- secondary school education is finished.
Experience:
- three years of expertise in managing warehouses.
Languages:
- level C proficiency in the language of the UN and, if different, the language of the duty station.
