About UN jobs-Interpreter-Translator
The FAO Representative will serve as the interpreter-overall translator’s supervisor, and the Assistant FAO Representative (Administration) will have direct responsibility for the interpreter-translator. As needed, the interpreter translator will work closely with the relevant units, technical officers, and projects.
For various project-related papers, meetings, and seminars, interpreters needes to translate from English to Khmer and vice versa.
Required Qualifications UN jobs-Interpreter-Translator
Education:
advanced university degree in linguistic studies or translation, or diploma from a school for interpreters and translators of international renown;
Experience:
- a minimum of five years relevant experience in translation and simultaneous and consecutive interpretation;
Languages:
outstanding editing, writing, and communication skills;
English and Cambodian, the nation’s official languages, should be spoken and written with ease.
