About UN Jobs-National consultant (CCL&VM)
The consultant will aid in the response to the polio outbreak and will be directly responsible for the implementation of effective vaccine management for monovalent oral Polio vaccine type 2, including receiving, distribution, daily counting, and reporting missed vail investigation, safe storage and guarding of mOPV2 during storage, transportation, use, storing and counting used and unused vails, reverse transportation and counting of used vails, and validation. The job scope comprises standard and timely reporting on mOPV stock by all levels.
UN Jobs-National consultant (CCL&VM) Responsibilities
- The Standard Operating Procedures for dealing with a poliovirus epidemic or occurrence
- The cold chain logistics and vaccination management guidelines for SIA; –
- Management, monitoring, removal, and disposal of nOPV2 vaccines.
- In conjunction with the National Cold Chain and Vaccine Management subcommittee, create the National Logistics Plan or update an existing version.
- Build capability and oversee the execution of all Cold Chain, Logistics, and Vaccine Management components.
- Facilitate the distribution and optimal use of vaccines and consumables in accordance with macro and micro plans, and ensure receipts are in accordance with the distribution plan.
- Ensure that vaccinations and consumables are properly stored at each stage of the supply chain.
- Create procedures to expedite report preparation, verification, correction, and compilation (vaccine utilization reports and A forms), as well as their daily transmission upstream.
- After each round, collect and analyze vaccination stock and utilization status at all levels of the supply chain.
- When requesting extra vaccine, submit the following vaccine stock reports:

Education:
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of professional work experience at the national level in outbreak response, routine immunization, public health, and other relevant programs.
