In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, WHO has played a crucial role in providing guidance and technical support to countries, coordinating the global response, and promoting research and development of vaccines and treatments.

About UN Jobs-Partner Coordination Consultant

The consultant will offer technical and operational support to the COVID-19 response efforts from the Regional Office under the general supervision of the WPRO IMST Incident Manager and the Partner Coordination Pillar Lead.
The consultant will be accountable for providing the following under the direction of the Partner Coordination Pillar Lead for IMST:
Output 1: Under partner coordination, the Regional Office will offer technical support to the COVID-19 IMST operations.

  • Deliverable 1.1: Attend meeting relevant to the objectives of the pillar.
  • Deliverable 1.2: Support the pillar technical work and pillar leadership. Update technical guidance, submit weekly updates and ensure timely and accurate reporting of the pillar’s M&E indicators.
  • Deliverable 1.3: Develop presentations and communications products, including donor visibility products, the Monthly Operational Update, web stories and social media posts, to highlight WHO partner engagement and support to the COVID-19 response in the Region.
  • Deliverable 1.4: Any other duties assigned by the Incident Manager or Regional Emergencies Director.

Output 2: Support the GOARN TO in building partnerships to expand the Regional Network, with a particular focus on partners in LMICs, by facilitating the development of presentations and other materials for internal and external audiences and expanding advocacy efforts with technical units in the WPRO and CLOs

  • Deliverable 2.1: Support the TO in building partnerships to expand the Regional Network, with a particular focus on partners in LMICs, by facilitating the development of presentations and other materials for internal and external audiences and expanding advocacy efforts with technical units in the WPRO and CLOs
  • Deliverable 2.2: Support the organization and execution of GOARN capacity building and training program in the Region.
  • Deliverable 2.3: Support the development of the GOARN Regional Action Plan aligned with the GOARN Strategy 2022 – 2026
  • Deliverable 2.4: Maintain GOARN database record system, assist with analysis and interpretation of deployment data for presentation and reporting, and work with the communications team to develop communications products, including social media posts, to highlight GOARN’s work with partners and increase the visibility of GOARN in the Region.
  • Deliverable 2.5: Development of a GOARN Operations Manual for the Region

UN Jobs-Partner Coordination Consultant Requirments

Education:

  • : First university degree in medicine, nursing or public health from an accredited/recognized institute.

Experience:

  • a minimum of five years of relevant expertise in planning, managing and monitoring technical programs, developing protocols, and reporting in a public health or humanitarian environment.

Languages:

  • Written and spoken fluency in English is essential.
