About UN jobs-Security guard
The Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) is a division of the UN that offers expert safety and security services to ensure the safest and most effective execution of UN System programs and operations. According to UNDP policies and procedures, this position is physically based in the Security Guard Force Unit of the UN House in Astana and works a regular 12-hour shift (day/night). The position holder will carry out a range of duties to maintain a safe and secure environment for UN House staff members and property.
Required Skills UN jobs-Security Guard
Education:
Secondary education.
Experience:
- Experience in security service minimum 2 years. Military service or Police service would be an advantage.
- Good communications skills, and computer skills (Windows and MS Office applications). Previous experience with Video Surveillance equipment, fire safety and protection equipment, radios, and other security equipment. Special training courses as security guards and security and safety systems would be an asset.
Languages:
Fluency in English, Russian, and/or Kazakh.
