Required Qualifications of UN Jobs-Unit Head/France/2023
Education:
an advanced degree from an academic institution (Master’s level or higher) in a field of study with a focus on the health laboratory sciences
Experience:
A minimum of 15 years of experience managing public health laboratory-related programs and/or the laboratory components of disease-specific control programs in the field of infectious diseases, including experience giving senior-level advice and guidance to senior management and decision-makers, managing human and financial resources, and developing and establishing policies and strategies. foreign experience that has been proven, including working both locally and remotely with low- and middle-income nations
Languages:
Expert knowledge of English.
REMUNERATION
WHO pays its employees in the Professional category in US dollars. The compensation for the aforementioned position consists of a variable post adjustment, which reflects the cost of living in a specific duty station and currently equals USD 3576 per month for the duty station mentioned above, and an annual base salary starting at USD 103,660 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable). 30 days of annual leave, compensation for dependent family members, home leave, and a scholarship for dependent children are additional advantages.
